If you’re heading to Wisconsin for a vacation, you’re in for a real treat. If you live in the state you probably already know about the amazing water parks that set Wisconsin apart. Wisconsin Dells is known as the water park capital of the world, and for good reason.

The city has a ton of huge, exciting and unique water parks. Many parks are located indoors so you can splash and have a blast all year round. There are some great resorts that offer access to the park with your stay. Be sure to check out everything these great amazing resorts have to offer including amazing dining options and tons of dry land entertainment.

Noah’s Ark is literally HUGE! You’ll be thrilled and amazed at the amount of rides, slides, and activities. Ride a body board on the Surfing Safari. Challenge the amazing water coaster, the Black Anaconda. Rip down the Black Thunder or the Dark Voyage in total darkness. Brave the huge splash of the Flash Flood, take on the vertical plunge of the Point of No Return or rush down the four hundred feet of the Scorpion’s Tail. Ride the world’s largest bowl ride on the Time Warp. There are plenty of other rides, slides, and great kiddie areas just for children. The park also comes complete with a wave pool, lazy river, a Dive-In-Theater, arcade, and the unique Hooligan’s Harbour, an awesome activity that involves remote controlled schooner battles.

Featuring over two hundred thousand square feet of wet, splashing adventure at both an indoor and outdoor water park, Chula Vista is a must see destination. The indoor park has great slides including the Mount Montezuma’s Mayan Temple slide for younger children, an amazing uphill water roller coaster, and mat racers. Children will love the fun Croc Walk water crossing and people of all ages will enjoy the Rio Rapids action river. There’s also an interactive kiddie area for younger children complete with wading pool and tons of squirters and water features. The outdoor water park has everything you could want including a huge wave pool, adventure pool, kiddie river, and sport pool complete with water basketball. There’s an awesome sandy beach area featuring a tiki bar and a mini golf course set in the middle of all that amazing water. The resort itself has a ton of other dryland activities as well as amazing dining options.

Cool down anytime of the year at the indoor Chaos Water Park. People of all ages will enjoy the Twister Water Slide. It’s quick enough to enjoy but slow enough that children can ride as well. The Hurricane Run slide sends you whirling down twists and dark tunnels. Grab a tube or slide down with the kids. For high thrills, blast down the Bailout slide. The super fast plunge slide drops you forty feet. The park has a great activity pool complete with water basketball and crossing activity. Tots will love the Monster’s Lagoon area complete with tunnels, slides, water sprayers and cute car attractions. If you came to relax there’s the lazy river or the huge double hot tub.

Children and adults alike will absolutely love Great Wolf Lodge. The indoor water park is open year round and the temperature is always just right. If adrenaline is what you’re after, raft down the huge Howlin’ Tornado, the massive funnel slide. Families will enjoy the raft ride, Whirly bird Run, which features four hundred and forty-three feet of twists and turns. Coyote Cannon and Lookout Mountain are not to be missed. Tots will love the Raccoon Lagoon play area featuring zero-depth entry and tons of water features. Fort Mackenzie is perfect for children of all ages. The park also has a lazy river, slides for smaller riders, activity pool and log crossing activity as well as a hot springs. There’s a ton of dryland fun and adventure to be had at the lodge when you’re ready to dry off.

With a host of fun activities, wild rides and slides as well as fantastic pools, Timber Ridge is the place to be. Tiny Timbers was designed with tots in mind. There are great swings, slides that are just the right size, and of course, a mushroom waterfall. The activity pool is just right for children ages seven to ten. Challenge the water crossing logs, zip down the slides or engage in a fun game of basketball. There’s a lazy river and a hot tub at the park as well as two exciting slides. It’s sure to be a day packed with action and laughter.

Seven slides make for a thrilling adrenaline rush and heart pounding adventure. If relaxing is more your idea of the ideal get away, float down the calm waters of the lazy river. Open year round, this massive waterpark has so many thrills and spills you’ll want to come back again and again. The water park has over a hundred and twenty-five thousand square feet of adventure and splashes. Experience surfing like never before on the Flowrider. There are a ton of wild, thrilling slides as well as a wave pool, activity pool, lazy river, amazing kiddie areas, whirlpool, a swim up bar, and an indoor/outdoor spa. When you’re ready to towel off, there’s a ton of dryland fun to be held at the resort as well.

The park has tons of thrilling slides, a gentle, rambling lazy river, adventuresome activity pool, indoor/outdoor spa and a zero-depth kiddie area complete with a host of features. Raft down the Triton’s Rage with the whole family. Race down the Triton’s Challenge mat racer slides. Speed down the Thunder and Lightning slides. Brave eighty-five foot sheer drop of the Demon Drop speed slide. There are two forty foot long tunnel slides for adventure and a five foot long toddler slide that’s just the right size for smaller water lovers. Aside from great camping and a ton of dryland activities, the park offers free access to the water areas included with your camping stay. Extending over ten thousand square feet, the waterpark is full of splashes, twenty-five water features, exciting kiddie areas, and thrilling slides. Visit the activity pool complete with a spiraling slide, water basketball and a floating turtle. If you came to relax, head over to the hot tub or grab a drink from the poolside bar.
